Christmas Day

Clear the way!
It’s almost Christmas Day
Celebrating with family
Hip hip hooray!

Start up the car
Grandmas’ house feels so far
Listening to Jay-Z
Missing Mr. Weinstein’s class like crazy

Brooklyn bound
Everyone making loud sounds
Crash, boom, bop, bang
Many Christmas songs we sang

Finally arrive
Our presents survived
Time for dinner
That Mac and Cheese’ was a winner

We start on dessert
The tiramisu so divine
The coffee ice cream so refreshing
The cheesecake tastes so fine

Finally it is midnight
The presents are in sight
Tear open the boxes
Wrapping paper decorated with foxes

Clothes as usual
Shirts, pants and socks
Having so much fun with my cousins
Didn’t even look at the clock

Four in the morning
Santa didn’t appear
All we can do is sleep
And wait for next year

Country

Driving to South Carolina I thought I’d give it a try,
I clicked the Country playlist on Spotify
The origins came from Millevoi health class,
Now I can’t help putting it on full blast,
Paisley, Alabama, Zac Brown Band, Chesney,
A salty wave of country fever swept me in a frenzy
Drowning in the harmony of the lyrics and an acoustic guitar
Just close your eyes; you’ll go drift away far
The debate has always rose, ‘’what's your favorite music type?’’
Honestly every genre of music I can say I like
But country has a place in my heart
I’m in a committed relationship, nothing will tear us apart.
